Two very well known authors, whose book titles are in opposition, calmly discussed the issues around eating wheat in a podcast this week. Dr John Douillard’s newest book is called “Eat Wheat”. Dr David Perlmutter’s latest book is called: “The Grain Brain”. Dr Douillard feels that removing a food, like wheat, isn’t solving the problem. The problem is the need to rebuild the digestive system. Dr Perlmutter feels that wheat is so big a problem for so many people, that it’s best avoided. Also this week, there was a podcast with Dr Tom O’Bryan, who wrote the book “Autoimmune Fix”. He feels gluten is a problem for most people, but admits the real problem can be diagnosed through lab tests that look for antibodies. Listening to material from any of those three experts is a privelege and very educational.
