It’s a daily art that takes awareness. Life can be so full of things we think we need to do. And in reality, there are things we need to do. But we need to find a balance between those things and taking care of ourselves and our loved ones. I try to find balance by focusing on quality time and not over-doing any one thing. For example, I take the dog for a hour hike near the house instead of driving further or going longer. I do a kind of walking meditation while we are out and try to soak up all the sites and sounds of nature. The dog is happy and my soul is fed.
